Mortal Kombat X Jax

Back in 2012-2013 I had the pleasure to worked on the latest Mortal Kombat X and was tasked with designing some characters (PCs and NPCs), environments (Fighting Arena) and assets design.

Jax was one of my favorite character when I first played Mortal Kombat 4 many many years ago with my brother, just because he has cybernetic arms, one of the few sci-fi characters at the time. So to be able to design him from scratch in the new Mortal Kombat X is so much fun and dug up a lot of memories. He was intended to be a guy that has put his past behind him, hence I gave him a more rugged look at the start of the explorations, even gave him an old shotgun and machete. I also did a version of his arms without armor platings all over, like he had dismantled them and didn't want to fight anymore.

These are some of the pieces I did while working on Jax, very fun!
